A safe shipment begins at the moment of collection. Here are answers to common questions about our pickup protocols, building insurance requirements, and how our team operates within private residences and galleries.
Do you require a condition report at pickup?
Yes. For most collections, our handlers perform a visual assessment and create a condition report before the artwork is touched or moved. This establishes a baseline for the artwork’s condition and ensures a clear chain of custody.
Can you provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI) for my building?
Yes. We regularly work with high-end residential buildings and office towers in NYC and nationwide. We can generate a COI meeting your building’s specific liability requirements within 24 hours of your booking.
How much notice do you need to schedule a collection?
For local NYC collections, we often accommodate requests within 48–72 hours. For nationwide pickups, we recommend booking 1–2 weeks in advance to align with our shuttle schedules.
Do you handle soft-packing or crating at the pickup location?
Yes. We never transport artwork unprotected. Depending on the item, we will perform onsite packing or bring a pre-fabricated custom crate to the location to secure the item before it leaves the building.
Can you handle difficult access like walk-ups or narrow stairs?
Yes, but we need to know in advance. If a piece doesn’t fit in the elevator, we can arrange for a stair carry or hoist. Please provide accurate dimensions and access details so we can send the right crew.
Do you collect from private residences or just galleries?
We serve both. We collect from private homes, storage facilities, galleries, and museums. Our team is trained in white-glove etiquette for residential work.
